Jenny Packham Spring Summer 2017 collection shown at New York Fashion Week is inspired by the idea of Peggy Guggenheim’s 1940’s art exhibition ’31 Women’, it is dedicated to the individual style and sensibility of 31 muses, past and present. Red carpets the world over are graced with Packham’s designs worn by the most iconic, talented, influential, and beautiful women of our generation including The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Upton, Taylor Swift, Anne Hathaway, Blake Lively, Emily Blunt, Angelina Jolie, Kristin Wiig and many others.
Each design is beautiful and unique depending on the individual personality. The show began with a model walking in a gold illusion tulle beaded top with wide leg trousers followed by a black-gold feline-embellished georgette gown with wide sleeves. It kept getting better and better as it went along. There were so many exquisite details seen on the show such as gold glitter, floral embroidery, crystal embellishment, and metallic beads. It’s hard to say which design represents which celebrity, but guess what? If Jenny Packham Spring Summer 2017 collection is all about celebrating women’s beauty, style, and uniqueness, we think she has just outdone herself.
